The attribution for the blade by the NTHK is to 2nd generation Sengo Masashige of Ise Province, Tensho Era (1575-1593). Traditionally Masashige is considered the fourth generation Muramasa. He is one of the top students of the Muramasa group. He is also the Grandson of Nidai Muramasa.

The blade is a beautiful and large sun-nobi tanto. The most striking aspect of the blade is the incredible hada pattern. Very reminisent of the hada seen on Muramasa blades.
Sun-nobi Tanto in shirasaya. Unsigned. In good polish, minor surface scratches.
Blade is presented in shirasaya that is in excellent condition.
